A butterfly in two Cocoons is an African novel about an African girl (Chiku) who is exposed to live both African and Western life styles. She experiences both lifestyles and shows attitudes towards each distinguishing the two. She identifies good and bad aspects of each lifestyle but decides to stick to what she believes, which emanates from the way she was brought up.
